As a working mom, we can get lost in the never-ending to-do list at work and at home.  You know what’s usually not on our list?  Fun, joy, enjoyment.  But finding our joy can restore our soul and make us the best we can be in all other areas of life.

About Our Guest

Wendy Ng is a Dance and Movement Coach who guides women to live consciously and confidently using mindful movement and dance through her signature program, Moving into Joy.  Passionate about movement, Wendy holds a BSc in Kinesiology and has trained in various forms of dance, Muay Thai kickboxing, and yoga. Wendy uses her experience in movement and a combination of mental and physical strategies to help her clients shift their thinking,  reconnect with their intuition, and build their confidence.

Prior to starting her business, Wendy worked 10+ years as an occupational therapist, helping clients adapt to change and live independently doing the things most important to them. In her free time, you can find Wendy hanging out with her 3 kids and husband playing board games, having family paint nights, or being a chef at home.

Tips From The Show

Finding joy through movement:

  1. Tune in and recognize what you need
  2. Connect in with movement and breath
  3. The answer is within – stop searching for the external quick fix
  4. It’s not this OR that … it’s this AND that – you get to decide what and how you fit it into
    your life.
  5. Do the opposite (sitting still… opposite is get up and move)
  6. Create space – in your mind, in your body and in your capacity
  7. Set boundaries – You CAN say NO
  8. Start with 5 – start with 5 minutes to creating a new habit … it will grow from there
